...few holes in Scotland can match the 13th, the Sea Hole." Ronan Rafferty
If there was a golf course in Scotland that deserved worldwide praise for its entire set-up - and not just the golf course - then this is it ... the Glen is one golf course that every Scottish golfer should make a point of playing at some time in the near future." Bunkered magazine
... the East Links at North Berwick, home of the Glen Golf Club ... is a delightful links course which enjoys panoramic views and offers a round of spectacular golf ... it is one of the most under-rated and best-value courses in Scottish Golf." Golf Monthly

The Glen is used to the attention of the media as we have hosted several different film crews in the past few years, all keen to use our course as a backdrop to their products.

When Sharp Television approached us in July, to discuss the possibility of hosting their new world-wide advertisement for high-definition televisions, we didn't honestly expect to beat our main opponents, St Andrews Bay, particularly as the American film crew were trying to convey an image of a 'British Open' style event.

However, the negotiations went well, and on 24th July we watched as a film crew of fifty, plus a hundred extras, turned our course into an 'Open venue' for the day.

The crew were a pleasure to work with, and liaised very closely with Ian Kinley, our Course Manager, to ensure that the course was left as they found it. The club benefited from a facility fee to compensate for lost revenue, but, more importantly, we are benefiting from our course being beamed around the world. Our US based members have already commented that we are being featured in the sports coverage over there and we understand that the advertisement is heading to Europe shortly.

In the meantime, a preview can be seen here
