Q: Is there a waiting list for full membership ?  
A: We have vacancies in most categories for 2009. If you are interested in membership, in whichever category, please contact us and we will be pleased to advise on the current membership situation.
 
Q: I don’t know anyone in the Club. May I still apply for membership?
A: Applying for membership at the Glen Golf Club could not be easier.  Simply call the Club on 01620 892726 today and get started within a matter of minutes not months.  No lengthy interview process, no awkward questions.  Alternatively email us. 
 
Q:  Is it the same waiting list for Men and Women?
A: Yes it is.  Unlike some other golf clubs where the Ladies are associate members, the Ladies in the Glen Golf Club are equal Members.  We therefore have one waiting list for all. 
 
Q: What is the annual subscription and how can I pay?
A: The subscription for the current year is £485.  You can pay by any one of four methods.  Cash, cheque or credit card, or you can also spread your payments over 12 months, using Fairway Credit, a company we use to collect monthly amounts direct from your bank account. There is a small facility charge and there are no credit checks made by the provider.   
 
Q: Is there an entry fee?
A: There is an entry fee for full membership of £320 which can be paid in three easy instalments of £160 (year 1) £100 (year 2) and £60 (year 3).   There is no entry fee for five day or country membership of the Club. 
 
Q: What do I get for my money ?
A:  As a full Member of the Club, you are entitled to all of the rights and privileges afforded to every other Member. You may play an unlimited number of times over the course and you may introduce an unlimited number of guests at the reduced rate of £10 per round. As a member of a club, you can obtain a national handicap which is recognised throughout the world. You may enter club competitions, and participate in other open competitions. You and your guests may use the clubhouse bar and restaurant, as well as the putting green and practice ground. A full Member is entitled to vote at special meetings of the club, and will receive a regular newsletter and full set of annual accounts with their invitation to the Annual general Meeting.        
 
Q: Do senior citizens receive a discount ?
A: Once you have been a full Member of the club for three years, senior citizens receive a small discount from their subscription.  
 
Q: Is there a lower age limit for Juniors?
A: No, but the Club will only permit play over the course once an adequate level of competency has been achieved.  
 
Q: How does the Club feel about beginners ?
A: The Club encourages all categories of golfer, but we insist that those new to the game are familiar with golfing etiquette,  and have reached an adequate level of competency before playing the course.
