Glen Ladies Events

Glen Golf Club Ladies Section – Fixture and Event Summary

The main golf events are held from April-September.  As the course is very sandy & well drained there are also events throughout October to March.  The aim of this table is to complement the information in the club diary, the fixture list (Fixtures 2004) and the information on the notice-board in the ladies locker room.  It provides an overview of the main events for all Glen lady members of all standards, and including juniors.  There are 5 sections – ladies competitions, ongoing competitions (summer/winter), events run jointly with the men’s section, social events and “beyond the Glen” events.  An asterisk * means that supper/food is part of the event:

Notes:

1 LGU Silver and Bronze Medals  -  the winners will be those who return the lowest aggregate of 4 net scores in medal competitions from 1st February to 31st January in their division.  Silver Division – handicap 20 and under, Bronze Division – handicap 21 to 36. The winners then go forward to compete in the Regional Finals – Silver plays for L.G.U. Gold Medal and Bronze plays for L.G.U. Silver Medal.

2 Draws for competitions are split and mixed on an alternating basis ie split being silver play together and bronze play together.  A mixed draw is when silver are drawn to play with bronze.  The exception to this is the Championship qualifier when the draw is split.
