THE SIME SALVER - Another success The Glen Ladies B team won The Sime Salver played at Whitekirk Golf Club on Thursday 13th October. The ‘B’ team pairs were Karen & Polly, Nancy Davidson and Louise. Their score was 150.5 with Whitekirk coming a very close second with a score of 151.5. Great Result! Another great win for the Glen Ladies. What a season we’ve had!
Well done to Betty Caw and Marion Kloepfer Marion and Betty played at The Grand Final of Peugeot Coronation Foursomes at The Eden Course, St Andrews on Monday 19th September. It was a windy day and they came 7th with a score of 29points out of a field of 16 pairs. They brought in the winners Cath Arter and Alison Mosan from Rothley Park 36pts. They had a most enjoyable two days at St Andrews.

The team was Keren Ward, Diane Huish, Gill Whittaker, Sheila Blackwood and Nancy Thorne. The next round is also a home match which will be played against Aberdour, the date still to be confirmed but is to be played by 21st August. Thursday 21st July Betty Caw and Marion Kloepfer represented The Glen in the area final of the Peugot Coronation Foursomes at Longniddry and were eventual winners with 35 points out of an entry of 82 pairs! They now go forward to play in the Grand Final on 19th September over The Eden Course in St Andrews with a two night stay in The Old Course Hotel. Also on Thursday 21st July Nancy Davidson and Bobbie Paul played in an East Lothian Ladies Golf Club competition played over the Glen Golf course called The Commonwealth Spoons and they came 2nd with a net 74. They have qualified to go forward to play in a final at Forres Golf Club on 22nd September.
