TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The competition will be open to amateur golfers, over the age of 18,
(Golfers under
18
are invited to the Ladies Open and of course the Junior
Open) who are members of recognised clubs, with current valid national
handicaps, Players with lapsed handicaps may not participate.
2. The competition will be played in
accordance with the Rules of Golf and the local rules approved by the Glen
Golf Club, North Berwick.
3. Competitors must lodge their completed
entry form and entry fee with the Match Secretary 14 days before the date
of the competition. Forms which are incomplete, or not accompanied by the
correct entry fee can not be accepted.
4. Times will be allocated by The Match
Committee who will accommodate competitors preferences where possible. By
supplying a SAE the Match Committee will communicate your allocated
starting time. All starting times will be published in the EL Courier and
Evening News one week before the competition. When all times have been
allocated, a waiting list will be in operation.
5. In the event of a tie, a result will be
determined by matching scores over the inward half of nine holes. (Six
holes, three holes and final hole if required.)
6. The trophies will be held by the
winners for one year, but will remain the property of the Glen Golf Club,
to whom they must be returned, one month before the following years
competition.
7. Competitors may win only one prize. All prize vouchers
will
be issued to the competitor’s Home Club, for the attention
of the Club Secretary.
8. In
the event of the competition being postponed it is the responsibility of
the competitor to contact the Club to ascertain the rescheduled
competition date.
9. The Match Committee reserve the right
to reject any entry, to alter any of the foregoing rules and to decide any
disputes which may arise in connection with this competition
