Ladies 9 & Dine

Nine and Dine 16th May 2023 

With rain threatening, but luckily staying mostly dry, 24 intrepid ladies headed out in the early evening for our second social competition of the year.  Tonight’s format was a Mexican Scramble, a variation on our Texas Scramble in April.

After our nine holes of varied results (speaking from my own personal view here) we made our way up to the Belhaven Lounge where Clint and his team served us supper.  Delicious as always.  Following loads of chat, 24 ladies in one room have a lot to discuss, the announcement of the results were made.

In second place with a net score of 36 were Avril Anderson, Grace Turnbull and Liz Westcott.  Our winners this month with a fabulous net score over the 9 holes of 33 were Shona Hamilton, Jo Yates and Katie Murray.  Big congratulations to all.

We rounded up our evening with a consolidation of some of the rules and etiquette of golf led by Lynda Tulloch.  This opened up more discussion and very informative chat about some specifics.  It was very much appreciated by all the members in the room and a huge thanks must go to Lynda for the presentation, especially the work put into the demonstration green.  Our greenkeepers have some competition.

With so much on over the summer months our next nine and dine will be on Tuesday 19th September.
