Prizegiving Day Texas Scramble Draw

Entry:          Fee of £10 per player which includes meal fooling the competition. Entry open to Gents & Ladies full 7-day members only.   

Max field:    20 teams (80 players) 

Tee times:  This will be a shotgun start at 9am.  Starting tee will be advised in due course.   2 Groups will start on the par 5’s:  6th & 15th holes. Players must arrive in good time and be at their tee 10 mins beforehand.

Format:       Step Aside Scramble.  The format is the same as a normal scramble with the exception being that whoever plays a shot must then step aside with only their 3 team mates then able to play the next shot.   E.g.·         Team choses player A’s drive so 2nd shot is only played by players B, C, & D.

·         Team choses player B’s 2nd shot so 3rd shot is only played by players A, C & D.

·         Team choses player D’s 3rd shot so 4th shot is only played by players A, B & C.

·         This continues until the ball is in the hole (and includes putts). 

Team:          Each team should comprise 4 people.

Drives:        Each player will be required to play a minimum of 4 drives, one of which must be at a par 3. 

Team           Each player will receive their full course handicap with the combined handicap total being divided by 8 to determine the team handicap.  (No rounding’s). 

Card:           All cards to be clearly marked with:      

·         Players’ names (Player A, B, C, D)

·         Player’s Index

·         Course Handicap (refer to WHS chart)

·         Which player’s drive was used at each hole.

·         Must be signed by marker and countersigned by another team member.
