MAINTENANCE UPDATE - 23 OCT
As the main season draws to a close, it’s a good time to reflect on the year so far. This season truly felt like one of two halves — dry and demanding through May and June, followed by much wetter conditions later in the summer. These contrasts brought their share of challenges, but through careful management and teamwork, we were able to overcome them successfully.
Our irrigation system was tested to its limits during the dry spell; however, the acquisition of a new pumping unit proved invaluable in helping us maintain the course to a high standard. Despite the wetter weather later in the summer, the course remained open for the most part — a great testament to the benefits of our ongoing sanding and aeration programme.
Upcoming scheduled maintenance
Future works
In early spring next year, we plan to either sand inject, core and sand, or both (date to be confirmed). The regular September coring is scheduled to take place in the first week of September, as part of our annual maintenance programme.
Thank you for your continued support and appreciation of the course. We look forward to building on this year’s progress and keeping the course in excellent condition for everyone to enjoy.
Thanks
