We are offering two excellent career opportunities within our Greenkeeping and Course Maintenance team. Whether you are an experienced professional or looking to develop your skills in a supportive and well-resourced environment, these roles play a vital part in ensuring our course is maintained to the highest standards for our members and visitors.
Assistant Greenkeeper
Salary: £32k, plus weekends paid as overtime
Qualifications
- Level 2 (or above) in Greenkeeping or Sports Turf Management
- PA2 certification would be an advantage (PA1/PA6 also desirable)
Responsibilities
- Present and maintain the golf course to the high standard expected by our members and visitors
- Carry out daily maintenance tasks, including:
- Cutting all areas of the course, raking bunkers, changing holes, and completing general course maintenance
- Supporting seasonal and ongoing improvement projects
- Participate in the weekend rota as required
Mechanic / Greenkeeper
Salary: £40–42k, depending on experience and qualifications
Qualifications
- Greenkeeping qualifications are preferable but not essential, as full training will be provided
- A proven track record in maintaining golf course machinery and equipment, including tractors, cutting units, and basic mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and welding work
Responsibilities
- The role is primarily focused on mechanical duties, but greenkeeping duties will also be required
- Maintain and service a fleet of modern machinery to ensure the course is presented to the highest standard
- Work closely with the Course Manager to ensure all equipment is ready and available when required
- Assist with general greenkeeping duties as needed
- Participate in weekend rota work
